Edit: (12/11/07) Well, I just thought I'd announce that today was Illumination's first birthday! :] Unfortunately, I have nothing special (or anything at all) to present. I'm still trying to get back on my feet from my play schedule. The play has finally ended and I should be finding more time after this weekend to design. I'm feeling some juices and ideas swirling in my head. I can't wait to be back.

Ehh... Sorry. I have barely had any time to check my email, let alone sit down and design or code. Sooo, basically, I'm going on a mini-hiatus-type status. My excuses: I'm currently the lead in the main stage play at my school, so I have rehearsal everyday plus 3 APs and just life in general. I will not be closing or even remotely thinking of closing. Not to worry. I do check the site at least once a week as well as my email. I will try to get any designing or coding in that I can. But until, maybe, December, you probably won't hear much anything from me. Once again, sorry for any inconvenience (although I don't see how that could inconvenience anyone...but you never know). I will try to keep up with my affiliates and comment to let you know I'm alive. But for now, I, alas, have no time. I shall try my best to make a come back in December! >:D Until then.

Yes. I am in mourning because, alas, school is starting for me tomorrow. Luckily, I have been furiously working on a little something for you. :]

I've pruned 5 100x 100 avatars and removed the 60x60 ones completely. I never really updated the 60x60 avatars and have no desire to make them for the sake of content. Plus, the 100x100 avatars are making the page unnecessarily long. I know I said I'd tell you before I pruned but it was a spur-of-the-moment decision. Sorry. But, I have, in their stead, added 11, count 'em, 11 new avatars. The first is of the lovely Henry Cavill. Second is of Hugh Laurie as Gregory House. The rest feature characters from the TV Show The Office (US). I'm thinking of adapting the second Jim and Pam one into a layout, so keep your eyes peeled for that. I think I may also eventually database all the avatars to make pages.

I have designed a couple layouts but never got around to coding them. I will eventually. Not to worry. I also have a few more ideas for more layouts. Inspiration, yay! I seemed to have stolen it from everyone else. Many sites are dead or closed. Ehh... I shall try my best to give this site the attention it deserves! >:D No more graphics for this update though.

Well, this year is my junior year of high school so please be patient with me. Most people say this is going to be the hardest year due to APs, SATs, and looking for colleges. Bleh. I will strive to continue my once-a-month updates, even if I have no new graphics. Good luck to all for this school year!

So, here we are at August. I dread August because I only have a measly 2 weeks of summer left. Most of which I'll be spending working on the lovely summer homework. Luckily, I've been slowly but surely working on an update.

I have added one Div/CSS layout. The layout features no third party resources whatsoever. Even the picture was taken by me. :P The layout was inspired by an avatar I made last update. Funny how that worked backward... Normally one does an avatar based on a layout. Hmm. The picture was taken in Denver, Colorado on my vacation earlier this summer.

Secondly, I added one HTML/CSS Tutorial. Whoa, I actually wrote a tutorial. They're surprisingly easy to write once you have a topic to write about. This one talks about tricks and hacks I use to help code in IE. If you're serious web designer, you know that IE is an atrocity to browser-kind. Oh, and yes, I know the icon is a different size. I need to make a new one. I don't have time now. I'll fix it later. :]

Site-wise, we lost our newest affiliate, Yoko Cafe. She decided to close her site a week or so ago. Affiliation is still open. I have actually sent out accept/rejection letters to the most recent emails I've gotten. I have also set up a Link Exchange section in the Links In/Out page. Link Exchanges are invitation only because I don't feel it's fair to reject people for link exchanges, but I want to limit the number of links I have on that page. One link was added. Please welcome Nonvideri Designs as our first link exchange.
