Creating a Zoom Effect

  1. Create a new canvas. I chose a 500x500 image.
  2. Press 'D' to reset your colors.
  3. Go to Filter > Render > Clouds
  4. Go to Filter > Pixelate > Mezzotint. Set it to 'Short Strokes'. Press OK.
  5. Go to Filter > Blur > Radical Blur. Set it to these setting:
  6. Press 'Ctrl F' once or twice to repeat the blur.
  7. Now color your image by going to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation or 'Crtl U'. Be sure to set it to colorize. Play around with it until you get the color you wish.
  8. Your done! Save it as whatever you want.
