Comments A few words from the artist...
A very bright and cheery layout for late summer. This layout features a picture of a tree with a yellow fire hydrant. I took the picture outside of the Denver Art Museum in Colorado. I originally made an avatar with that picture and really liked it. Thus, I created a layout using the same concept.
In this layout, I experimented a lot with gradient maps and unusual effects. To give the picture a more defined edge, I used the Threshold effect. I used a photo filter to give it the yellow hue. I added a few blending effects to give the edges an "old photo" sort of appearance and viola! I texture in the background and behind the title is a pixel I made of some interconnecting vines and swirls.
I really enjoyed coding this layout because the styling came easily to me. Usually, I struggle to think of a unique way to present the navigation and headers. I decided to try a dual-header where you are able to write a mini-description of the title. I think it turned out nicely and I am pleased overall with how this layout turned out.
The navigation for this layout is located in the top right-hand corner under the content bar. In other words, the 'X's. I think layout could best be used as a blog layout, but that's up to you. Enjoy.

Installation The How-To...
Download the layout from the site and unzip the files using a program such as Winzip. Open up the index.html page in Notepad or like text editing program. Edit the content at designated places in the code. Do not touch any other part of the code. Upload all the files into your site using an FTP program. Enjoy.
