This layout kicks ass, but not as much ass as the movie kicks. I love 300. I really admire the story so I made a layout in its dedication. Not to mention I'm Greek. Ethnic pride. :]

I really like how the header to the content looks. The blood splotch with the letter in it really brings out the nature of the movie. I also did a pretty tricky effect with the navigation. If you look at the code, it's not that tricky, but the effect is simple.

Inspiration. The movie. I wanted the layout to be harsh and grungy. Thus, I have the burned edges and grunged patterns. I sort of just saw this layout in my head. I knew approximately where I wanted images and how the style should be. It was all a matter of putting it together. All the sayings are listed below:

Prepare for Glory
Madness? This is Sparta!
Tonight we dine in hell.
Remember this day, men, for it will be yours for all time.
Before this war is over, the world will know, a few stood against many.

Mmmm. All very inspiring, no?

The images are from 300 the Movie website. The splotch was a brush from Pootato.org. All of the patterns and grunge brushes were created by me.

Installation

Download the layout from the site and unzip the files using a program such as Winzip. Open up the index.html page in Notepad or like text editing program. Edit the content at designated places in the code. Do not touch any other part of the code. Upload all the files into your site using an FTP program. Enjoy.
